The Florida Code Compliance Association (FCCA) offers an agency accreditation program for code compliance agencies. The accreditation program is designed to reflect best practices in the areas of code compliance involving agency administration, staff, professional development, case management, and other programs and responsibilities.
The FCCA accreditation standards ensure a uniform and consistent level of professionalism and level of service across all accredited code compliance agencies throughout Florida and promotes public trust through accountability and transparency to the communities in which they serve. Code compliance agencies can operate in confidence knowing that their code compliance operations have been reviewed and approved by a formal third party, have demonstrated that staff are competent, and can be considered among the best code compliance agencies in Florida.
The standards have been developed to apply to both large and small agencies. Applications are reviewed and approved by the FCCA and, upon approval, agencies are awarded with a Certificate of Agency Accreditation. Accreditation must be renewed every four (4) years.
FCCA Agency Accreditation Fees
Accreditation: $500
Accreditation Renewal: $500
Reaccreditation must be completed every four (4) years following the original accreditation award in accordance with the terms for agency accreditation found within the FCCA Accreditation Application Packet for Code Compliance Agencies.
For any questions regarding the application for agency accreditation or reaccreditation, please email us at fcca@fccaonline.org

The Florida Code Compliance Association (FCCA) Agency Accreditation Program is designed to provide agencies with a structured, efficient, and transparent process for demonstrating compliance with recognized professional standards. The accreditation process consists of two (2) simple steps, combining an online application with an electronic standards management system to streamline documentation, review, and ongoing compliance.
Begin the accreditation process by completing and submitting the online FCCA Agency Accreditation Application along with the required accreditation fee. You may also review the FCCA Accreditation Standards Manual before applying.
Once your application has been reviewed and approved, your agency will receive instructions for accessing the electronic standards manual in PowerStandards by PowerDMS. From the date of approval, your agency will have twelve (12) months to complete the accreditation process by linking all applicable policies, procedures, directives, forms, and other supporting documentation to the corresponding accreditation standards and submitting the completed accreditation package for review.
After your application is approved, log in to PowerStandards by PowerDMS to access the Florida Code Compliance Accreditation standards manual. Within PowerStandards, your agency will link its policies, procedures, directives, forms, and other supporting documentation to the applicable accreditation standards.
This process creates an auditable crosswalk between each accreditation standard and the documentation demonstrating compliance. Agencies may also upload proofs of compliance, assign responsibilities, track progress, monitor accreditation status, and maintain documentation electronically, making both the initial accreditation and future reaccreditation more efficient and organized.
Agencies that do not currently have PowerStandards by PowerDMS may use the link below to contact PowerDMS for information on licensing and purchasing the module. Once your agency has obtained PowerStandards, FCCA will provide access to the electronic accreditation standards manual and assist you throughout the accreditation process.
Please complete and submit the accreditation application along with all attachments for new or renewing agencies seeking accreditation, and pay the application fee based on your accreditation status.
